You're right, the road numbers have changed since. The 112 now leads from Genève to Veyrier (Geneva region), and the sign should say 144, as indicated in this official document (in french): http://www.admin.ch/ch/f/rs/7/741.272.fr.pdf
A new road is planned to replace this 'old' 144, in order to ban transit traffic especially from the small villages of Noville and Chessel (infos also in french): http://www.sr.vd.ch/prod/wss/sr_wssw_p. ... ojets2h144
